Jehovah The creator of the earth shall bring his judgement upon you men
trying to trample on his will.
Stop going against those Jehovah is using.
Embress the truth of the Living God of Armies.
No Human can stop the progress of Jehovah's organization.

Tonight as I was "surfing" the Net, trying to find any information on how
to deal with being an ex-JW and how to deal with them now, I came across
your web site. It was a true gift from God, so much so I sat crying in
my chair. I thought I was alone with my hurt. Thank you - THANK YOU for
your work. Please keep it up!!! I plan to visit this site often to
really get to read ALL the info in it. Again - thank you!

Watchtower's Our Kingdom Ministry suggests prices for literature

Ever since Jimmy Swaggart Ministries lost its sales tax case before the U.S. Supreme Court - a case in which the Watchtower Society filed a "friend of the court” brief (see Blood on the Altar) - the Society has avoided naming prices for literature offered under a "donation" arrangement. Now, however, the November 1996 Kingdom Ministry suggests "a deluxe, gold-edged Bible can easily cost $20 or more, a reference book may be $40 and up, a full-color wall calendar may sell for at least $5, an encyclopedia on CD-ROM costs from $50 to $100 or higher," and so on, adding that "failure to contribute enough to cover costs will ultimately restrict what the organization may otherwise be able to accomplish in furthering the world-wide work." (p. 3)

DOES ANYONE KNOW? The April 1997 Kingdom Ministry has a Question Box on p. 7 titled, "What publications should be put in the Theocratic Ministry School library?" It says the library should contain "the current publications of the Society" and "should include only material that will enable those using it to make continued spiritual advancement." "With new congregations constantly being formed . . . Some publishers who own our older publications might consider donating them to the congregation." Whether or not this would include the very old books that would clearly not help JWs to "to make continued spiritual advancement" is not addressed in this KM. Perhaps more specific instructions are available to school overseers responsible for the library. We reported some years ago that orders went out for the very old publications to be removed from the library, after hearing this from some who were still in the organization, but others have since reported that the library at their KH still contains Russell's books, so perhaps it was a localized thing initiated by one branch office or one district overseer. Any information would be appreciated.
