ONE OBVIOUS FALSEHOOD is the Watchtower leadership's denial that they have ever
returned to "previous points of view." (December 1, 1981 Watchtower, page 27 shown below)
Numerous examples belie this dishonest attempt to cover up such back-and-forth flip-flops:

In the mid-70's the Society reversed its longtime teaching that each JW is a minister, and began teaching that most are not ministers; then in 1981 it returned to the old point of view -- as reflected in the monthly Kingdom Ministry name change to Our Kingdom Service and then back to Our Kingdom Ministry.
The old Organizationbook taught "none in the congregation should greet" disfellowshipped persons. (p. 172) Then the August 1, 1974, Watchtowerreversed this because "Jesus' own example protects us against adopting the extreme view" of refusing to speak to them. (pp. 464- 465) Then the September 15, 1981, Watchtowerreturned to the previous viewpoint. (pp. 24-26) Originally the Society said the "higher powers" of Romans 13:1 are the secular govern ments, but in 1929 this was rejected as a 'false doctrine.' (Jehovah's Witnesses in the Divine Purpose, p. 91) The "higher powers" became God and Christ. But decades later the Society returned to the previous point of view.
